screws not rivets for anchor nut: 2019-08-12 Panasonic DMC-FT1
Fixing the rudder pedal shaft seal. On the starboard side the rivet holes on the upper aft anchor nut were not accessible to any type of rivet setting device, so I used small stainless-steel CSK socket screws (M2.5 x 10) instead. The black button-head screw is holding an adjacent anchor nut ready for drilling its rivet holes through the footwell side.
screws not rivets for anchor nut: 2019-08-12 Panasonic DMC-FT1
Fixing the rudder pedal shaft seal. This shows the upper fixings on the inside of the starboard footwell. The middle anchor nut is not really needed, but I fitted it when I thought I couldn't get the hole for the aft one drilled. Note that only the forward anchor nut is riveted; the other two are secured with SS screws and stiffnuts.
