home-mad hex drill bit: 2019-06-22 Panasonic DMC-FT1
I made this short drill bit from a piece of quarter-inch hex bar, to allow drilling a hole in the side of the footwell using an angled hex driver, where there was not even enough clearance for the Tight Fit Drill Kit. I turned down a short length to the size of hole required, turned a taper on the end, then gashed cutting faces with an end mill. It worked reasonably well, but was not long enough to get through the composite firewall material.
