milling tangs on door bolt pushrods: 2017-01-09 Panasonic DMC-FT1
The pushrods which operate the door bolts fit into slots in the shoot bolts. Flat tangs had to be created on the ends of the pushrods to fit the slots, and I elected to do this by milling rather than filing. I found that the 10mm end mill I used was long enough to machine 2 pushrods at once, which saved some time. Slots had already been milled in the other ends of the pushrods to fit the inner handles DL03, and I used a drill bit of a diameter matching those slots to align the 2 pushrods while clamping them in the milling vise.
