milling angled slot in door bolt pushrod: 2017-01-09 Panasonic DMC-FT1
One of the short (forward) pushrods for the door shoot-bolts set up to extend the slot at an angle. This is needed to clear the inner door handle DL03 when the door latch mechanism is in the closed position. I had previously milled a straight-ended slot with the pushrod horizontal in the milling vise. It was a bit tricky getting the pushrod at the correct angle while properly aligned with the milling cutter. The blue felt-tip pen line shows how far the angled cut should extend.

One of the short (forward) pushrods for the door shoot-bolts with the angled slot needed to clear the inner door handle DL03 when the door latch mechanism is in the closed position. Behind it is part of the drawing I made to check the required angle for milling the slot. As it turned out, the dimensions given in the manual for the slot did not work for my installation, and I had to extend both the port and starboard slots after making a trial assembly. I did that by filing, which was a bit tedious, but probably faster than trying to set up the pushrods again for milling at an angle.
