Centre cowl access hatch cover marked with position of Hartwell latch. Inside this line is where the epoxy-flox will be applied to form a spacing pad between the flat base of the latch and the curve of the cover.

Fitting Hartwell latch to centre cowl access hatch cover. The latch operating cutout has been cleaned of excess epoxy-flox. Greased clecos are fitted in the holes away from the edge of the cover. Greased skin pins are fitted adjacent to the edge so that the operating tongue of the latch can be snugged up to the flange of the opening, but not so tight as to distort anything.
