silicon sealer on comm radio antenna connexions
comm antenna connected: 2021-02-18 Panasonic DMC-FT1
The RG58 coax cable soldered to the comm radio dipole antenna. I should, of course, have taken this picture BEFORE I applied the waterproofing silicon sealer which obscures the connexion! Just visible inside the fin is the white end of the stack of ferrite toroids on the cable. To support the solder joint as much as possible, the heatshrink around the toroids is bonded to the fin rib and port skin with more silicon sealer.
