Socket mounting pad starboard: 2014-12-03
Lumix DMC-FT1
Starboard pad for mounting aft wing socket. Made from a piece of marine ply contoured and chamfered to shape. The inner face is tapered to roughly match the angle of the fuselage so that the outer surface is vertical and parallel to the aircraft longitudinal axis.

Port pad for mounting aft wing socket. Made from a piece of marine ply contoured and chamfered to shape. The inner face is tapered to roughly match the angle of the fuselage so that the outer surface is vertical and parallel to the aircraft longitudinal axis. However, after bonding it in place, I found the outer surface was not as true as intended.
