tailplane mass balance weight upper stop: 2013-09-20
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT1
The tailplane mass-balance weight at the upper extent of its travel, as determined by measurements of the tailplane angle. The space between the splash moulding and the weight must be filled with a buffer made of plywood. Having done the splash moulding makes it much easier to measure the size of plywood needed and bond it in, at this stage, before bonding on the fuselage top.
