redundant vacuum pump pad: 2016-03-18 Panasonic DMC-FT1
Since deciding not to install vacuum (or indeed any mechanical) gyros the vacuum pump pad on the Rotax engine is redundant. The spacer plate that came with the engine is shown here; the hole in the middle looks a bit untidy, and the studs are only part-threaded so the nuts can't be tightened enough to hold the spacer plate.
