trial fit of starboard door glazing
trial fit of starboard door glazing: 2022-10-29 Panasonic DMC-FT1
Starboard door Perspex glazing temporarily held in place with a ratchet strap around the fuselage. The polyethylene sheet under the strap is to minimise the chance of scratching the Perspex. The edges of the Perspex have been trimmed to leave a 1mm gap between it and the door rebate all around. Now about to apply masking tape on the outer face of the Perspex to indicate the inner edge of the door rebate. I suppose one could have done that directly on the inner surface of the Perspex while crouching in the cockpit, but it needs less acrobatics to do it on the outer face and then transfer it to the inner.
