rudder shaft seal fixings
port rudder shaft seal fixings: 2019-08-26 Panasonic DMC-FT1
The inboard face of the port footwell, showing the fixings for the rudder shaft seal. The lower anchor nuts are fixed to the tunnel face of the footwell because those screws go into blind holes, below the level of the footrest. The aft nut is a single-lug type, needed because rivet gun access is restricted by the landing gear frame. The other anchor nut at the bottom of the picture is for the cooling duct - note the line drawn on the footwell marking the extent of the duct.
