The upper surface of the port aileron after over an hour's sanding. The paint and filler layers have been removed over a significant proportion of the surface, but some areas need further attention.

The upper surface of the port aileron after a second session of sanding. It looks as though very little more weight can be removed aft of the hinge line without going into the glass.
