oil sump outlet banjo: 2017-04-18 Panasonic DMC-FT1
The banjo on the oil sump outlet comes fitted pointing forwards, which does not seem to be the most useful direction.
oil pipe routing trial: 2017-04-18 Panasonic DMC-FT1
One possible route for the oil pipe from the engine sump to the oil tank. I'm not happy with this as the pipe seems too close to the starboard aft exhaust pipe.
oil pipe routing trial: 2017-04-18 Panasonic DMC-FT1
A second possible route for the oil pipe from the engine sump to the oil tank. This seems much better as it keeps the pipe well clear of the starboard aft exhaust downpipe.
oil pipe routing trial: 2017-04-18 Panasonic DMC-FT1
The oil pipes that pass under the engine offered up to check how they might be routed. The upper one with the formed elbow (C06) will fit on the oil pump inlet at top right. The other one will connect to the banjo fitting on the sump, which looks as though it should be turned some way to starboard to avoid a very sharp bend in the pipe.
