Rear viewing hole marked: 2013-07-23
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT1
The viewing hole in the base of the fin, marked out with the diameter of the hole in the fuselage, the flange that will be made to fit the inside surface, also the holes for the attachment screws (3) and the temporary clecos (4). You should also be able to see part of the larger outline for the flange layup, showing through from the inside surface. The fuselage top moulding is here supported upside-down for access to both inside and outside surfaces.

Marking out the access hole in the upper fuselage moulding. Visible are the diameters of the hole in the fuselage and that of the hole in the flange that will be made to fit the inside surface, also the holes for the attachment screws (4) and the temporary clecos (4). The fuselage top moulding is here supported upside-down for access to both inside and outside surfaces. Just visible along the edge of the moulding is the peel-ply on the flange layup, on the inside surface.
