broken gas spring end fitting: 2023-03-07 Panasonic DMC-FT1
Just before opening the trailer tailgate, I noticed that the offside (starboard) gas spring had become detached and was lying on the ground. It looked as though the bracket on the tailgate would foul the shaft of the gas spring if I tried to open the tailgate, so had to take action before I could get into the trailer.
