dipped firesleeve test: 2019-11-22 Panasonic DMC-FT1
A second short test length of firesleeve cut open after dipping for much longer in the RTV-toluene mixture and drying. The mixture has penetrated a bit more deeply into the glass matrix, and it is certainly holding the glass in place even when flexed quite severely.
