firesleeve on firewall pass-through: 2016-06-30 Panasonic DMC-FT1
The stainless steel firewall pass-through fitting with layers of firesleeve added outside and inside the tube. The inner sleeve was slit axially to reduce its diameter.

strips cut from firesleeve: 2016-06-30 Panasonic DMC-FT1
The successive strips cut from the inner firesleeve to reduce its diameter enough to fit inside the tube. The instructions called for a strip about 1/4" to be cut off, but obviously that was not enough!
