aileron quick-connect pad (starboard): 2015-01-26
Lumix DMC-FT1
The SRBF pad bonded to the fuselage starboard quick-connect bellcrank. Note the duct tape to catch Redux drips. The outline of the mating bellcrank on the wing spar is just visible as the arc of a circle behind the pivot bolt. That bellcrank was greased to make sure it did not form a permanent bond to its fuselage mate.
aileron quick-connect pad (port): 2015-01-26

The SRBF pad bonded to the fuselage port quick-connect bellcrank. Note the duct tape to catch Redux drips. The outline of the mating bellcrank on the wing spar is just visible as the arc of a circle behind the pivot bolt. That bellcrank was greased to make sure it did not form a permanent bond to its fuselage mate. There is more Redux squeezed out around this SRBF pad because it turned out a fraction too thin on first assembly and needed a generous layer of Redux-flox to provide the correct spacing.
