Aft end of cowl join, port side. The fuselage joggle really should have a recess for the cowl flange; without that, the cowl joint does not lie flush. Neville told me afterward that the flange of the lower cowl needs to be removed locally to allow a flush fit.

Looking up from the cowl lower air inlet, showing how the fuel pump is in contact with the flange of the lower part of the cowl. Neville later advised me that the flange should be cut away to clear the pump and that the upper cowl could be cut away too, which would all help to cool the pump and would not spoil the aesthetics much.
