cutting out brown foam: 2009-04-25
Nikon Coolpix 8400
Routing out the brown foam between the pre-preg layers in the seat. The foam must be removed to allow the edge of the hole to be strengthened with flox. This is a Dremel 199 tool, which looks like a tiny circular saw about 1mm thick. It removes the central foam layer very effectively without much danger of damage to the outer epoxy/glass layers.
