Re-bonding port wing TE

re-bonding port wing TE

re-bonding port wing TE: 2008-04-19

Nikon Coolpix 8400

The clamping setup for re-bonding the wing TE in the aileron section, where a combination of insufficent Redux-flox mixture, and poor clamping left some voids between the upper skin and the aileron closeout section of the wing. This time, (after thorough cleaning out, abrading and degreasing) I used neat Redux to be sure it would flow into the narrow gap. There is obviously no shortage of Redux this time; you can see it overflowing from the bond area beside the nearest orange clamp. I used layers of polyethylene sheet everywhere to ensure that the Redux didn't flow anywhere it wasn't wanted; that was a bit tedious to apply but was very worthwhile as it made cleanup of the surplus easy afterwards.
