replacing fuel filler connexions: 2018-12-24 Apple iPhone 6
The cut halves of the upper rubber connector on the aluminium fuel filler have been taped together to make the joint airtight again. This is to allow the vacuum-cleaner hose poked into the filler neck to pick up any rubber particles liberated by sawing through the lower rubber connector. Obviously it is very undesirable that such particles should fall into the fuel tank.
