reinforced pulley mount: 2017-08-17 Panasonic DMC-FT1
The trailer winch pulley system with the reinforcement plate fitted under the nearside pulley. The steel plate does not need to extend so far forward beyond the line where it is bolted to the underlying steel floor member, but I had only limited time available for this repair and couldn't be bothered to hacksaw it off. Anyway, a bit of extra nose weight in the trailer is desirable. Visible at right is a lump of cast iron, the balance weight from an old washing machine, which I plan to secure in the trailer nose, probably with other weights, to help counteract the weight of the engine at the rear of the trailer.
