patch for SS firewall: 2019-05-14 Panasonic DMC-FT1
A patch made for the stainless steel firewall in the area where clearance is most critical. I found it impossible to make the 2 thicknesses of the original firewall sheet conform closely enough to the landing gear frame tube in this area to avoid fouling the rudder pedal cross-shaft. So I made this patch from slightly thicker stainless steel, with clamp straps to secure it tightly to the tube. I was then able to cut away the original firewall sheet in the critical area.

The stainless steel patch I made for the firewall area where the clearance between the rudder cross-shaft and the landing gear frame tube was very tight, showing how the straps fit to attach the patch to the frame tube.
