The GoPro Hero8 attached to the camera mount on the overhead panel, to check the field of view it obtains.
GoPro field of view: 2022-06-25 GoPro HERO8 Black
A still picture taken by the GoPro Hero8, to check the field of view with it attached to the camera mount on the overhead panel. The main instruments are all readable here, but the Kollsman window in the altimeter is not legible. I haven't got to grips with all the GoPro options; it may be possible to choose a longer focal length which would resolve the instruments better. This idea is supported by the movie test which gave a slightly less wide result - it covered to just the edges of the door frames. In any case, this seems to provide a good compromise between panel detail and outside view.
