TE flap-aileron junction: 2008-04-04
Nikon Coolpix 8400
The area between the aileron and flap on the port wing. For proper fitting of the flap, the flange of the TE which covers the flap needs to be able to move a bit from its manufactured position. It is constrained at its outboard end by a vertical piece. On advice from the factory, I cut this away to allow the wing TE to move either up or down as required for the top skin fitting with the flap in place.
