stick wiring coiled for safety: 2021-01-14 Panasonic DMC-FT1
I have to do a lot of climbing in and out of the cockpit while wiring the instrument panels. So, I removed the P1 stick to make for easier manoeuvring, but that left the wiring to the stick-top switches rather vulnerable. So, I coiled the wires up and pushed them down into the base of the stick to keep them safe.
trim system working: 2021-01-30 Panasonic DMC-FT1
The trim system fully wired and working, powered from a bench power supply unit - note the green LEDs on the trim indicator and on the guarded trim disconnect switch. Near bottom left can be seen the wires for the P1 stick-top switches uncoiled from the stick base. When I first turned on the power strange things were happening because some of those wires were shorting inside the stick base where they had been coiled up for safety. I did also connect the stick-top switches and check for correct trim operation from them. At right centre several warning LEDs are lit where fuseways have loads present but no fuses in place.
