transponder installation: 2013-11-15
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT1
The Trig TT21 transponder mounted on the side of the rear fuselage, with the antenna and its ground plane adjacent. Each is supported by a purpose-made glass-fibre layup, bonded to the fuselage with Redux 420. The antenna ground plane may not appear level, but it is, honest! The red section in the wiring is a butt crimp with heatshrink, used to bond together all the ground pins in the connector.
