Haiku

As each raindrop falls
leaf tips tremble and vibrate
a silent music
The leggy cranefly
struggles on the smooth wall
dances on the rough one

The purple bulb
crushed in a muddy footprint
has a green shoot
Outside the window
brown leaves tumble and swirl
inside - silence

Wilma studied ways in which Quakerism and Zen Buddhism aligned. She was interested in Haiku and these are some that she made herself.
